There are other online resources that offer you access to advice and local business recommendations. Does it feel local? Most likely, your answer is no. You must scroll through pages and pages of forums to find your answer. And, the people you are conversing with are often not right in your own backyard.

This site is unique as it is your one-stop-shop for all things parenting in HoCo, MD. You can help one another online and perhaps meet in person offline for play dates and local events. Other online HoCo parent groups tend to be closed and geared toward the woman/new mom. What about the dad? Or, the grandparents taking on a parenting role? How about the growing HoCo LGBT community? This NEW forum invites all parents to participate. The topics we are launching this forum with are the following:

  • Parent Q & As; advice
  • Healthcare provider recommendations
  • Activity ideas
  • Kid products to buy and/or sell
  • Events
  • Deals & Steals

As we know, parenting looks different today than it did even just a few years ago. Like everything, parenting will continue to evolve in the years to come. If you have ideas or category suggestions, feel free to contact me. Please allow for a few days to receive a response.

Individually, we are all striving to be the best parents we can be. But, realistically, it takes a village to raise a child. We can lean on one another. Let this be your village.
